Medical Malpractice, Estate Planning, Contract Review, and Disability Insurance Lawyers

When you seek legal help, you don’t want to hire your friend or cousin unless they specialize in what you need. Your goal should be to find someone that is competent, experienced, and a good fit. Verify they're in good standing with the bar and that the task you need is what they spend the majority of their time doing. Like with a financial advisor or a doctor, there is some value to a few gray hairs. Someone who has already done this hundreds of times is usually going to be more efficient and make fewer mistakes. You also want someone that you can relate to and enjoy working with. Ideally, they have worked with a lot of people in your particular situation. This can be a tricky ask and WCI is here to help.

Firms listed here are paid advertisers on the site but have all been vetted by WCI and your fellow readers and specialize in the services they offer.

Legal Help for Your Disability Insurance Claim

You have probably spent significant time researching what type of disability policy or policies to buy. You’ve paid premiums that are not cheap. If you ever have to make a claim, you expect that the claims process will be straightforward, and your reasonable claim will be paid. But at the time you can least afford to devote any extra time and energy to it, you might be shocked to find your disability claim is denied. Then, you are facing a lengthy appeals process or, worse, a lawsuit.

It is imperative that before you file a claim you take into consideration the 8 steps recommended here and hire an experienced disability attorney who can review your policy and your medical records and identify any areas where your claim might be lacking. Talking to the right lawyer before you make your claim is so much cheaper than hiring one for an appeal if your claim is denied!

When long-term disability benefits are wrongfully denied, BenGlassLaw has the expertise essential to successfully explain to skeptical insurance companies why doctors, dentists, and other professionals cannot perform at the highest levels required for their jobs. Your disability insurance policy should be part of the solution to your health crisis, not part of the problem.

  • We file more disability appeals and lawsuits than any other firm in our region, recovering over $3 millions in disability benefits and managing over $45 million in future disability benefits for our clients.
  • If you need advice BEFORE making a claim, we offer a flat-fee comprehensive review of your medical records and policy documents plus a one-on-one strategy session to develop the best way to present your claim.
  • If your disability claim has been denied, we will review the denial letter and provide a strategy for moving forward with an appeal.

Best Estate Planning Attorney for Physician Asset Protection

While very basic estate planning can be a do-it-yourself project using an online attorney/service, most professionals reading this site will likely eventually want to sit down across from a real, live attorney to get this done. Estate law is state-specific, so you absolutely need an attorney in your state. This attorney helps you to understand the process, drafts up your documents, answers your questions, and updates the plan periodically as needed. They can also serve as a trustee and resource for your heirs after your passing. The piece of mind from hiring an attorney who specializes in estate planning is worth the cost.

Medical Malpractice Lawyer for Physicians

Choose a personal injury attorney with a lot of experience in medical malpractice. Your consultation is usually free. Most of the time they can tell you within a half hour whether you have a reasonable case or not. Since they'll probably be taking it on contingency, if they're not willing to take it, that tells you a lot about the merits of your case and the likely outcome. If they can't make $25K+ out of a quick settlement or $100K+ out of a full trial, they're not going to take your case. Resist the urge to go to a less qualified attorney willing to take the case. Hiring a crummy attorney is not likely to improve your outcome.
